Our beliefs.

We believe that there is only one living and true God. God is all powerful, infinite, and eternal. We believe God is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit without a division of nature, essence, or being. (John 17:3, Romans 1:20)

We believe that Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, living a sinless life, fulfilled the law. He was raised from the dead in flesh and bone, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into Heaven. (Philippians 2:9-11, Luke 1:35)

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, compels, encourages, and brings healing. The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts used for building up the church, producing spiritual fruit, and exercising spiritual authority. (John 3:5-8, John 16:12-16, Corinthians 12, Galatians 5:13-25)

We believe every word in the original writings is inspired by God and is the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct. Scripture speaks directly to us now, in multiple ways, even as we recognize the care needed to interpret ancient texts written to varied audiences. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that Jesus died for our sins as the only sufficient sacrifice, offering atonement of all sins through His death and resurrection. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

We believe the Church is the living Body of Christ on earth, not a building. Christ is the head of the Church and brings together all who confess faith in Him. (Acts 2:42–47, Hebrews 10:24–25)
We’re a family. The Alliance is one big, diverse, extended church family—with some half a million members in the United States alone. Every local Alliance congregation is one of about 2,000 fellowships worshiping in 38 languages and dialects across the country.

At One Hope, we desire to reflect the diverse picture of heaven found in Revelation 7 in all spaces. The Governance Team is the highest level of our church authority, made up of diverse female leaders and male elders. This team ensures that our church operates in accordance with our values and the word of God. Our Staff Team equips our church family to live on mission and see our vision come to life.
