Core Beliefs

  • We believe that there is only one living and true God. God is all powerful, infinite, and eternal. We believe God is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit without a division of nature, essence, or being.

  • We believe that every word in the original writings is inspired by God and is the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct. Scripture speaks directly to us now, in multiple ways, even as we recognize the care needed to interpret ancient texts written to varied audiences.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, living a sinless life, fulfilled the law. He was raised from the dead in flesh and bone, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into Heaven.

  • We believe Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit can convict, compel, encourage, and bring healing.

  • We believe the Church is the living Body of Christ on earth, not a building. Christ is the head of the Church and brings together all who confess faith in Him.

  • We believe that Jesus died for our sins as the only sufficient sacrifice, offering atonement of all sins through His death and resurrection.

Core Values

  • We are intentionally pursuing Jesus-centered reconciliation and restoration in our church, our families, our neighborhoods, and our city.

  • We are committed to growing a church family that reflects the kingdom of God in its fullness. This is a family where people from all backgrounds, generations, and cultures can belong and worship together.

  • We strive to provide spaces for celebration, lament, storytelling, and confession when we gather as a family. We believe every story and experience matters.

  • We are better together! Everyone has been given gifts that edify and build up the church. We want to empower everyone in this church family to lead in all spaces and share their gifts.

  • We love to partner with existing organizations and people who are already bringing about reconciliation and restoration in our city.

Affiliation

We’re a family. The Alliance is one big, diverse, extended church family—with some half a million members in the United States alone. Every local Alliance congregation is one of about 2,000 fellowships worshiping in 38 languages and dialects across the country.
